Why did you make the move?
I love my hometown of Marion and the Marion Community Foundation is a real jewel in our town dedicated to enhancing life in Marion. When the President/CEO position opening was announced, I eagerly tossed my hat into the ring!

What do you hope to accomplish?
I hope to continue spreading the word about the great opportunities Marion Community Foundation offers to donors, nonprofit organizations, and all the citizens in Marion. Naturally, I want to help our foundation grow because its growth benefits our entire community. In particular, I hope to help foster a desire in future generations to continue the legacy given to them.

What’s surprised you so far?
How far-reaching our mission and effect are.

How far-reaching our mission and effect are!

What’s on your MP3 player?
Everything from ABBA to Zac Brown Band, The Beatles to Bruce Springsteen, Mozart to Moody Blues; a lot of ’70s music, with some Jack Johnson, Norah Jones and Katy Perry tossed in!

What’s the last book you read?
The Time of Our Lives by Tom Brokaw. A wonderful account of what we’ve done right in America and how we can do it again.
