New on the Job
OGF is pleased to introduce the new Director of Community Relations and President of the Owens Corning Foundation.
Executive Director, Metroparks of the Toledo Area
Why did you make the move?
I have been fortunate to spend 14 years with the area’s premier governmental organization. Now I have the opportunity to contribute to our area’s premier private sector organization. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with so many quality nonprofit agencies here in Northwest Ohio and beyond.
What do you hope to accomplish?
To deploy a more strategic approach to community relations at Owens Corning. There is tremendous opportunity here in Toledo, Ohio, in North America and globally.
What’s surprised you so far?
Perhaps it has not been a surprise, but I’ve been delighted by the tremendous welcome I’ve received and all of the offers for support internally.
What’s in your CD player?
I haven’t purchased a CD in many years! My favorite running playlist is full of everything from Chris Tomlin to Dispatch to Bob Marley. For running a long distance I like to start with something inspirational, move to fun and catchy songs and then finish with something loud and fast to help me keep moving.
