New on the job

This week OGF introduces the new executive director of the Sandusky/Erie County Community Foundation, who’s been on the job for a few months.

Why did you make the move to the community foundation?
Sandusky is closer to my extended family, and the opportunity to get back into community foundation work was one I didn’t want to pass up.

What do you hope to accomplish in your new position?
The Sandusky/Erie County Community Foundation is poised to accomplish great things in Erie County. We will make Erie County an even greater place to visit, live, work and raise a family by developing a permanent endowment, to identify and respond to community needs and to facilitate charitable giving.

What has surprised you so far?
The level of dedication and knowledge of the board and staff at the Sandusky/Erie County Community Foundation.
